B&S Foundation has been actively involved in organising various seminars, competitive events, research campaigns and workshops to take forward its vision and mission of formation of a just and equal society through education and empowerment. We have been conducting “She the change – Nari Udyami Awards” since 2014 to encourage outstanding women achievers from all over the world and bringing pride to their nation.
B&S Foundation believes and supports the fact that all women are born with entrepreneurial skills with a strong determination and they are ready to manifest their entrepreneurial vision if a supportive environment is made to unleash their inner strength.
“WOMEN4WOMEN” and “WEAVE” (Women Entrepreneur and Village Entrepreneur) are two of our flagship campaigns which are hand holding programmes encouraging and uplifting women to excel in their professional pursuit and be self- reliant. Participation of women in economic activities plays a very key role in the economic development of a country.
B&S Foundation is making sincere efforts to identify the factors responsible for the participation of women entrepreneurs, especially in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSME). Its major campaigns through which hand- holding program encourages and uplifts women entrepreneurs to excel in their professional pursuit and be self reliant. Its major emphasis is directed towards- Beti, Shiksha, economic empowerment of women, boost rural economy, revival of old handcrafts, textiles, cultural heritage of a great nation- encompassing Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari. The foundation is further focusing on revival of extinct handicrafts, textiles, artifacts and upgrading old heritage and culture of our country.
India is a diverse nation and each state has its unique heritage, culture and customs. Bharat has innumerable skills with village artisans, krishaks and tribes; the proposed program will not only promote the craftsmanship and the natural fabrics
(weaves of India) but also the “natural way of life”.
To provide international exposure to our women entrepreneurs and to promote our industry as a whole, we organized a Trade Exhibition followed by a thematic fashion show in 2022 and 2023, titled “Weaves of India” and “Vibrant Threads of Unity,” respectively, in Guatemala, in collaboration with the Indian Embassy (Ministry of External Affairs), Handicrafts and Handloom Export Promotion Council, and Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Additionally, we conducted seminars in Guatemala and El Salvador to promote the Gem and Jewellery Industry of India.
B&S Foundation is tirelessly working towards the economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs. It is our mission to make every woman of India self-reliant.
