Skill & Entrepreneurship Centers at NDMC, Delhi Cantt.
BS Foundation, in collaboration with MP Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, launched the initiative “Stree Samman Humari Zimmedaari – For the Women, By the Women”, with the aim of improving the social and economic conditions of women in the Pilanji and Khirki villages of New Delhi.
Event Highlights:
- Skill & Entrepreneurship Centers: The foundation planned to open 4-5 skill development and entrepreneurship centers in the NDMC and Delhi Cantt. areas, empowering women through vocational training and entrepreneurship.
- Empowerment through Recognition: This initiative is designed to give women recognition in their families and communities, thereby improving their socio-economic status.
- Motive: The core objective was to elevate the role of women in society by providing them with the tools to be financially independent and socially respected.
Key Objectives:
- Enhance women’s social and economic standing by providing skills and opportunities for entrepreneurship.
- Strengthen women’s voices within families and communities by fostering self-reliance and dignity.
- Promote gender equality and uplift the status of women through education and empowerment programs.
This initiative emphasized the responsibility and commitment to honor and support women, with the belief that empowerment of women is key to societal progress.
